Robert Farmer was a chemist at 59 North Street in August 1852. By November
he was a photographer at the same address. In 53 he advertised for daguerreotypes,
but in 1854 he was a chemist again!
In 1856 he made the switch to ambrotypes and in 57 he opened a second studio.
He died in 1859 at the age of 36, leaving 3 young children. Only one survived and
became a photographer like his father.
