Henry Joseph Whitlock advertised for "glass positives in case" for 2 shillings and 6 dimes
between May 22nd and December 21st of 1861. Ambrotypes were just going out of fashion
and were being replaced by the cheaper carte de visite. Henry opened the studio on New Street
after his parents both passed away. Their studio had been on 110 New Street. The case and
passe-partout used are in the exact same style as his parents' had been.
