John William Gload and Sarah Anne Thompson had 10 children.
John was a veterinary surgeon who served in the Crimean War and in the 11th Hussars.
He served in the battle of Alma, after which he named one of his daughters. He and his family
lived in Dublin. He wrote many pieces for the veterinarian and was often named in the newspapers.

Catherine Gloag, the last image matches the town she lived in.
It's possibly she's holding her son Garnet Gloag Lawson who was born in July in 1875.
The photo was taken in 1876.

This could be one of the Gloag women or a friend of the family.
They were taken in Bristol where George Alexander lived.
She looks like Ellen Elizabeth Gloag, who had a son in 1876 in Leeds.
