Notes Robert Farmer was a chemist at 59 North Street in August 1852. By November he was a photographer at the same address. In 53 he advertised for daguerreotypes, but in 1854 he was a chemist again. In 1856 he made the switch to ambrotypes and in 57 he opened a second studio. He died in 1859 at the age of 36, leaving 3 young children. Only one survived and became a photographer like his father. |
