Notes "Henry Glover, Dispending and Photographic Chemist, Coventry" Henry Glover started as a photographer in November 1859 on 38 Cross Cheaping, Coventry. He was 24 at the time and already a chemist who made his own perfumes. Almost a year later in August 1860 he was sued for starting a photography business without a permit. Before the case went too far, he decided to remove the business again. In January 1861 he was fined for not removing the snow before his shop. He denied this. In June 1862 he had an aquarium with a fish with 3 tails which you could come and admire. March 1863 was his last add on this address, in December the shop had been taken over. June 15th 1863 he married Fanny Lees. From May 1864 he was located on 51 Spon Street. Henry died October 14th 1915, aged 80. In April 1917 his wife Fanny died, aged 75, living on 32 Holyhead Road. |
